Dr. Dennis Moore

District NMI President

        Dennis Moore is a native Floridian from Lake Worth.He has been the Director of the Palm Beach County (government) Consumer Affairs Division for nearly 10 years.  For the previous twenty years he served as the director of the county’s animal shelter. 

        Dennis has served as the Southern Florida District Missions President for 23 years.  He was on the General Council for Nazarene Missions International for 8 years.  He has served as chairman of the Global Theme Presentation Committee for four General NMI Conventions.

        Dennis is the Secretary for the Board of Trustees at Trevecca Nazarene University.  He served 4 years on the board for Nazarene Bible College.  He currently serves as Secretary for the Southern Florida District Advisory Board.  In 2005 he was elected to the General Board for the Church of the Nazarene where he had previously served from 1997-2001.  On the General Board he serves as Secretary of the World Mission Committee.He and his wife Wendy have 3 adult children and 2 grandsons.  Dennis has a bachelor’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University and a master’s degree in communications from Illinois State University.  In 2001 Trevecca awarded him with an honorary doctorate of letters.
