Our Mission Convention project this year is providing instruments for the church band in Gros-Morne, Haiti. We need clarinets, flutes, trumpets, saxophones, trombones, marching drums and a few guitars too.
The church band is led by Clervius Henri, a former voodoo priest, who was miraculously saved through the ministry of the Church of the Nazarene. Clervius now teaches music and serves on the board at our Gros-Morne church and school.
During our last trip to Haiti, the band played for us during the Sunday morning worship service. They were amazing! We were also surprised to discover that over half the instruments being used were borrowed or in a state of disrepair.
We really need our Southern Florida family to bring well operating instruments (along with $10 for shipping, $20 for guitars) to the annual Convention, May 2 & 3 at Bradenton First.
You can be instrumental in finding these instruments in or at your home closets, church closets, Goodwill, Salvation Army, Craigs List, EBay, school band teacher, music shops, pawn shops and many other places.
We have so much, lets find those instruments and make a huge difference for a struggling church band in Haiti.
but it is necessary to be very attentive what to rumple who it and whether there can be this person a swindler. after all and such happens. you don’t need which counterfeit production too much. simply it costs strongly cheaper.
