Greetings! I am Ingrid Kiper from Hollywood Church of the Nazarene in the Southern Florida District. I am a 22-year-old recent graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University, and I wanted to thank you again for always being supportive to me and my family.
Last summer, I did a 12 week internship at a Creative Access Area. I was able to befriend and minister to many university students, and I was also able to get a feel on what it would be like to be a missionary and a teacher. I would not have been able to go if not for the support of you and the rest of the South Florida District.
Now, I appreciate the opportunity to share with you what the Lord is doing in my life.
As you know, my family members are first generation Nazarenes. We became Nazarenes through the kindness and compassion of the Eau Gallie Church of the Nazarene in Melbourne, Florida. That church had nothing, but gave us a piece of themselves that took us out of proverty and into the arms of Christ. As Dr. Kathy Mowry, a Treveccan professor, would say, they were a church being a Church.
My family knows that there is no way we could repay what the Church of the Nazarene has done for us. We have devoted our time, skills, and finances to serving the church. Even now, my family continues to be faithful going to a Nazarene church even though it is an hour away from their house.
My family has served the Church of the Nazarene in the States and even in Central America, and we have almost always worked for free. The Church has taught me everything I know about love, compassion, using your talents for the Lord, and helping others with a joyful heart.
Now, I have graduated Trevecca Nazarene University a year early with a major in Intercultural Studies (Religion major with an emphasis on Missions) with a minor in English Language Learning (ELL). I feel called to be a missionary with a skill of being an English teacher to speakers of other languages.
Unlike many of my graduated classmates, I was given a job before I even graduated. I am going overseas again, but this time, its a bit different.
This trip is not in a Creative Access Area. I have been assigned to MaeTaeng, Thailand as an official Nazarene missionary. This trip will enable me to use my English-teaching skills and study two languages (Thai and Lahu), while building relationships with the local people and helping the current missionaries there. This assignment is long term, and I do not know when the Lord will call me back to the States. I am so excited for the God is doing!
To that end, I would like to invite you to share in my excitement and participate with me in spreading Gods love to the nations. You can pray for the ease of my travels, the effectiveness of my ministry, and the safety and health of the missionaries already there. You can also participate financially. The cost of this mission trip is $12,000 per year. It has been really hard to raise funds despite having been on multiple mission trips before. This trip is more than both previous trips combined.
But as I have said to many of my friends, and I now say to you every little bit makes a difference. I really believe that the Lord multiplies all of the resources we put into His service!

Thank you so much for all of your past support. Blessings to you and everyone else in the Southern Florida District!
