John K. Paul, who has served as the Southern Florida District Treasurer since 2007, was recently elected to the board of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Inc. (NCMI)
Nominated by the Board of General Superintendents, Mr. Paul was elected by the NCMI board and confirmed by the General Board to serve in this new capacity. The board has oversight for over 150 world areas where NCMI has a presence or partnerships. The purpose of NCMI is to respond to and prevent human suffering resulting from poverty and disaster. The annual budget exceeds $7 million.
Mr. Paul serves in a variety of other non-profit organizations including the Haitian lay representative to the Southern Florida District Advisory Board, a member and the youth leader at the Naples New Haitian Church of the Nazarene, Southern Florida lay representative to the Trevecca Nazarene University (Nashville, TN) Board of Trustees, President of the Naples Haitian Christian Youth Committee, Treasurer of the Haitian Coalition of Collier County, and founding board member of the Bayshore Education Center.
John Paul, also called JP, is a Financial Planning and Reporting Manager for WCI Communities, a homebuilding company in Naples. JP, a Certified Public Accountant, has undergraduate degrees in accounting from Marietta College (OH) and Business Administration from Hodges University, Naples. He also has a MBA degree from Florida Gulf Coast University, Ft. Myers.
JP is married to Deborah and together they have two boys 7 and 4 years old and a daughter, 19 months. His father, Rev. John R. Paul, is the pastor of the Naples New Haitian Church of the Nazarene.
