Under the direction of Dr. Crocker and USA/Canada Regional Director Dr. Bob Broadbooks, the Southern Florida District Advisory Council appointed a Task Force to gather and assimilate information related to the research and transition of the District Superintendent Leadership.
To assist the District Advisory Council and Dr. Crocker, a profile is being prepared by the Task Force about our district and the characteristics/qualifications of the person who is needed to serve as our next District Superintendent. Because time is very limited to gather the needed information, the District Advisory Council has authorized the use of an online/Internet process of gathering input and information from our Southern Florida District family and its pastors/leaders.
From Tuesday, March 11 through Sunday, March 16 we are requesting pastors and key lay leaders in our Southern Florida churches to go to this website and provide us with their opinions and perceptions: (Click on link below)
This website is used by many charitable organizations to provide efficient processing of survey input and information. The survey is in English, Spanish and Creole. At the end of the survey, you will be given an opportunity to provide the name, contact information, background and rationale for prospective District Superintendent candidates. If you wish to suggest candidate names, it would be best to have that information available before you begin the survey. You are not required to provide the name of any prospective candidate.
Please feel free to share this information with other key leaders in your church. We are seeking as much input as possible from our entire district family. It is important for each person completing the survey to only do it one time.
We earnestly request that you and your congregation bathe this entire process with sincere prayer and fasting through May 5, 2014, when the District family will gather to make this important decision at Bradenton First Church of the Nazarene for the annual Southern Florida District Assembly.
If you have questions or concerns, please direct them to the District Advisory Council c/o Dennis Moore at: firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 561-968-7845.
