As we near the close of our church year and prepare for District Assembly 2027 (April 1–3, 2027, at Lake Placid Camp and Conference Center), it’s time once again to complete the necessary steps for your District Minister’s License renewal and Annual Report.
Our District Superintendent, Rev. Brian Wilson, has already informed all senior pastors of this deadline and provided them with the necessary links to the Application and Recommendation forms on our website. However, we are sending this message directly to you to ensure that everyone has the information needed.
Course Completion Reports
If you haven’t done so already, ensure you are registered with District Ministerial Studies. Registration
Your Course Completion Reports are due to Rev. Becky Garner by November 30, 2026. If you have not yet submitted them, please do so immediately. Email Rev. Becky Garner
Required Steps for Renewal
If you currently hold a District Minister’s License and wish to renew for the 2027 Assembly year, the District Board of Ministry must receive the following no later than November 30, 2026.
All forms can be found online through the Southern Florida District website at www.sfnazarene.org under Resources → Board of Ministry.
1. Application for District Minister’s License
— Complete the online application (select Renewal if you already hold a license).
— It is your responsibility to ensure submission by November 30, 2026.
2. Recommendation to the District Assembly Form
— This form must be completed online by your local church board and senior pastor.
— Deadline: November 30, 2026.
3. Annual Report of Ordained or Licensed Minister
— All ordained and district-licensed ministers who are not senior pastors must complete this form online.
— (Senior pastors fulfill this through the Annual Pastor’s Report.)

— Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
— Interviews begin around 8:00 a.m. Ordination interviews will follow after District License Interviews.
— All candidates must attend to be considered for a District License renewal or first-time license.
Interview assignments will be made in mid-December after reviewing all submitted applications. You will be contacted with details once your materials are received.

For Potential Ordination Candidates
If you have completed all necessary requirements according to the Manual for Ordination, you are invited to complete the Ordination Questionnaire (available on the district website) in addition to your District License Application.
If the Board of Ministry determines that you have met all study and experience requirements for ordination, you will be informed and invited to interview with the entire Board of Ministry.
— Complete the Ordination Questionnaire online along with your District License Application.
— Spouses of ordination candidates should plan to attend the interview.
