Marsha Taylor has served as Administrative Assistant to Dr. David F. Nixon, District Superintendent of the Southern Florida District Church of the Nazarene, since 2005. Before this she was an Abstinence Educator for the Highlands County Middle Schools for four years, and the same for two years prior in Louisiana. She served as the Secretary for the Florida Abstinence Education Association (FAEA) for the last two years of her teaching career and served on several other district and State-wide church and community boards in Louisiana and Florida.
Born and raised in a Christian home in Indiana, Marsha came to God at the age of 16 following a time of a quietly hardened heart. God was faithful to lay a burden on the heart of her pastor who wouldn’t let go until she felt conviction and a desire to have a relationship with that God! Following a definite and wonderful conversion experience and facing her future with God, she became convinced that she was not called to be a Pastor’s Wife, and then only a few years later accepted the unusual call from God to be just that! At the age of 21, that call was fulfilled in her marriage to Rev. Tim Taylor and she has served by his side for the past 32 years in Indiana, Texas, and Louisiana and presently in Lake Placid, Florida.
Tim and Marsha have two grown children, Travis, living in Maui and Emily (Nathanial) Greenhalge living in Benton, Louisiana. They have 3 grandchildren; Tobias “Toby “Miles (4), Malachi Titus (2) and Leah Ruth Greenhalge (3 months).
