Dennis Moore is a native Floridian. He is a member of the Lake Worth First Church of the Nazarene where his father served as the founding pastor. Dennis has served as the Southern Florida District Missions President Since 1986. He was on the General Council for Nazarene Missions International for 8 years. He has visited numerous world mission areas. Dennis is the Chairman of the Global Ministries and Services Committee of the General Board for the Church of the Nazarene. He is serving his third term on the General Board. Currently, he serves as the secretary for the Board of Trustees at Trevecca Nazarene University. He served 4 years on the board for Nazarene Bible College. He also serves as secretary for the Southern Florida District Advisory Board.
Dennis served 37 years in Palm Beach County (Florida) government. He was director of the Consumer Affairs Division for 13 years and director of the county animal shelter for 20 years. He and his wife Wendy have 3 adult children and 3 grandsons. Dennis has a bachelors degree from Trevecca Nazarene University and a masters degree in communications from Illinois State University. In 2001 Trevecca awarded him with an honorary doctorate of letters degree
